NATIONAL EDUCATOR WORKSHOPS

2006 AIM/GLOBE/CloudSat Educator Workshop Participants - New Jersey

I live in Newark, New Jersey.  I have been teaching at Ann Street School in Newark, New Jersey for twenty years where I began teaching kindergarten and first grade.  I have been teaching life science in the seventh grade for the past six years.  Every year my 7th grade students participate in the "Signals of Spring" project. It is an interactive interdisciplinary program that integrates technology with content area material. Students use real - time Earth data to understand and explain animal migration.  we are assisted by Glen Schuster, who is the project director.  My hobbies include reading, going to the beach, shopping, and travel.  I am an avid New York Yankees and new Jersey Devils fan.  I speak and write Portuguese.  I obtained my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Kean University located in Union, NJ.
