designed the SOFIE measurements, performs the SOFIE measurement
inversions, conducts SOFIE flight operations, and provides overall
project data management leadership. GATS scientists are analyzing
SOFIE observations of polar mesospheric clouds, temperature,
and trace gasses to further our understanding of ice in the
upper atmosphere.
